Terms & deletion policy
What Fetch keeps, what it deletes, when, and what it will never do. In plain language, because the plain language is the actual policy.
What gets deleted, and when

These are not "up to" numbers. Deletion is driven by the job that created the file: the same code path that makes footage removes it, and there is a sweep behind that in case a job never completed. Nothing is retained anywhere else — no backups of your footage, no copies for review, no training corpus.
What persists, because it is your work
Your footage goes. Your work stays:
- Transcripts — the text of what was said, with any corrections you made
- Cut lists — every clip's beats, hook, captions and rationale
- Clip codes — permanent, never reused, so a post from March can still be matched to its numbers in December
- Stats you reported — kept, though nothing here reads them any more
- Your account — an id, a billing email, your channel slug, your layout preset, your plan, and the vocabulary of names you have corrected
That list is exhaustive. If you want any of it gone, ask and it goes.
How a recording gets in
Two ways, and neither involves Fetch logging into anything:
- You upload it, straight from your browser to Fetch's storage.
- You point at a file in your Google Drive. Your Drive is connected to your Claude, not to Fetch. Fetch receives one link to one file — no listing, no folders, no ids — and fetches that file once.
Fetch does not scrape. It does not download from YouTube, TikTok or anywhere else, including captions and titles. If a recording is on YouTube, Fetch tells you which two downloads to make in your own Studio and waits for you to hand them over.
Your accounts
Fetch never touches your accounts. It has no YouTube, TikTok or Instagram login, holds no tokens or sessions, and cannot post, schedule, or read a platform's API on your behalf.
It will never ask you for a platform password, and if anything claiming to be Fetch does, it is not Fetch. Every number Fetch knows about your channel is one you typed. This is enforced in code — the database has nowhere to store a platform credential, and the build fails if a table grows a column that could.
Billing
Credits are bought once and never renew. One credit is one minute of video. They come off when Fetch reads your recording, and only then: setting up, uploading, checking the words, reviewing a cut list and making the clips all cost nothing, and re-rendering a video you already paid for never costs again.
If Fetch cannot read your video, the credits go back.
There is no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to lapse. Credits you bought stay yours and do not expire. Stopping deletes nothing — your codes, cut lists, transcripts and stats stay exactly where they are.
Who you are dealing with
Fetch is operated by AnswerDog LLC. These terms and the deletion policy above are the operator's commitments, not a description of current behaviour that might drift.

Changes to this policy
The deletion windows and the never-touches-your-accounts promise are load-bearing: they are in the product's own build rules as things that cannot be changed without saying so plainly, in advance, to everyone using it. If they ever change, you will be told before it takes effect, not after.
